“Gather me”
Gather me while still a child
under your wing and keep me
strong enough to carve your life
into glass stones
gathered.
Gather me while still supple
enough to break
forth and spill
forth unto the wind
gathered
by you.

I am looking at this from both sides of aging, the almost 90 year old and the 2 year old. Each day brings new changes. And we are thankful to be together marking another holiday. To you and yours – a treasured Thanksgiving.
Thanks for your visit.
And a blessed Thanksgiving to you, too!
Again, the gentleness here touches me deeply. You are living these words, this poem, as you write: carving her life and your own.
