We Write Poems prompted us to write a 12-word poem.

Here are my two offerings:

“How to bake with a Lovin’ Oven”

Smoking Sheets
Morning Mayhem
Peeping Purge
Muffin Mother
Frittered Father
Insistent Infant

* * *
“How I write”

Words inside brain
shaken, rattled, rolled
like Yahtzee dice,
double rhyme

  1. I vote with Irene. I too loved the first! Took me back years and with a smile remembering those many “harried mornings” of just trying to start the day. Wonderful memory and fun to read.

  2. The alliterative sounds of the first is fun! Frittered father is so funny, and Muffin Mother is just glorious.

Speak to me of thoughts unspoken.
